What is findrealfood?
findrealfood is a directory of small-scale Irish artisan food producers — farmers, cheesemakers, bakers, fishers, and growers who raise and make food with care. It was built to make it easier for consumers and chefs to find these producers and buy directly from them, cutting out the middlemen who sit between the person growing the food and the person eating it.
Every producer listed on findrealfood is reviewed before their listing goes live. We check that they are a real, independently owned Irish food business producing food themselves. We do not list wholesalers, resellers, or supermarket brands. If something grows, is raised, caught, fermented, baked, or preserved by the person behind the listing, it belongs here.
How it works
- 1.Producers submit a free listing through the List your produce page.
- 2.We review every submission and publish listings that meet our standard — real food, independently produced, based in Ireland.
- 3.Consumers and chefs search the directory, find producers near them or by category, and make contact directly through the producer profile.
What we are not
findrealfood is not a marketplace. We do not process orders, handle payments, or take commission. When you contact a producer through this site, you are dealing directly with them. What you arrange, how you pay, and how the food gets to you is between you and the producer.
